Going nuts for nut butters

Nut Brothers was born after three friends scored a peanut butter machine off TradeMe for just $200.

Porter Novelli was asked to help them build a profile and share their unique story to drive awareness, sales and retailer demand.

We were thrilled to work with a premium nut butter product range, accompanied by an authentic personal story and products with provenance.

Our activity included helping the Nut Brothers tell their story, crafting materials, developing media and influencer kits, negotiating giveaways and managing media interest.

Nut Brothers deserved the amazing results achieved, reaching more than 1.6m people: #11 on Taste Magazine’s Hot 50 product list (closest other spread was #46), Newstalk ZB’s breakfast show chat between Mike Hosking and producer Glenn Hart, named her ‘latest addiction’ by Style Insider Leonie Barlow, mentioned in “We’re loving with Nicky Park” and countless other media and blogger mentions.
