House of Lords wants PR regulated. Should we?

House of Lords: "All PR practitioners should abide by a clear code of behaviour, potentially overseen by a third party. This should apply equally to those working in this area for both the Government and political parties, ensuring that they can set an example for communications which are universally transparent and straightforward."

Most PR practitioners in New Zealand abide by the PRINZ code of ethics - does it need more teeth as implied above in terms of what's being recommended in the UK?

Journalism in the UK has come under considerable scrutiny and in the following video Lord Inglewood talks about the Communication Committee's report into the future of investigative journalism, looking at challenges and threats facing the industry such as regulation, funding and accountability.
